How should I begin house training my Yorkshire terrier?
Yorkshire terriers can be difficult, but not impossible, to house train. They are small animals, especially in their puppy years, which also means they have small bladders. At first you will have to take them to eliminate very frequently. A Yorkshire terrier puppy should be taken out to eliminate after eating or drinking, after playing or excitement and before you leave the house or go to sleep. They should be given encouragement when they eliminate in the right place but not punished severely if they eliminate on the floor.
