The U.S. Constitution Party Platform and Stance

The United States Constitution Party has always advocated a return to the original intent of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. The party members believe that many politicians and government officials are abandoning the ideals of the Founding Fathers.

The U.S. Constitution Party: Party Focus

The U.S. Constitution Party is proud of the fact that it is:

• anti-deindustrialization
• anti-free trade
• anti-unchecked immigration
• in favor of a strong national defense
• in opposition to special rights for homosexuals
• in opposition to expansion of unlawful police laws
• in opposition to foreign aid
• pro-American sovereignty
• pro-gun
• pro-life.

• the right to life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness
• the right to own, use, control and dispose of property.

Inorder to secure the above-mentioned rights, the Constitution Party believes government should preserve tranquility, have a strong national defense and uphold justice for everyone.

However, the party also believes that the government will usurp the liberty of the average citizen if left unchecked. Due to this fact, the party believes it is necessary to adhere strictly to the principles of the Constitution and limit government powers as necessary.

The Constitution Party: Social Policy

The Constitution Party takes a strong stance on social policies:

• The Constitution Party believes strongly in the right to bear arms and is against gambling.
• The Constitution Party believes that marriage is a union between man and woman and that the government should not recognize homosexual unions.
• The Constitution Party does support the use of the death penalty for criminals that have been convicted of capital offenses, such as murder.
• The onstitution Party holds a pro-life stance and does not support abortion or euthanasia.
• The Constitution Party opposes pornography.
• The Constitution Party opposes research using embryonic stem cells.

The Constitution Party: Foreign Policy

When it comes to foreign policy, the Constitution Party believes the following:

• The United States should adopt a policy of non-intervention when it comes to foreign policy.
• The United States should introduce a tariff system that would balance the increase of negative trade for the United States.
• The United States should scale back its participation in various world organizations and withdraw from treaties such as NAFTA and the World Trade Organization.

The Constitution Party: Fiscal Responsibility

The Constitution Party is a strong advocate of governmental fiscal responsibility. It believes that federal forms of taxation should be abolished, such as income tax. It believes that a tariff-based revenue system would be much more effective and less of a burden for citizens.

The party also feels that debts to the United States should be called in immediately and believes in paying off federal debt through the dissolution of such agencies as the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services.
