Target your resume to individual employers. Look for job postings within your skill level and tailor your resume to those needs rather than using the same resume for every application. While in law school, get some legal experience through jobs, apprenticeships and internships. This will give you experience to put on your resume and help you develop professional contacts. Utilize your college's career placement resources--they may have job postings other career websites don't have. Don't worry if your first legal job isn't perfect, it can give you the skills and experience you'll need to advance in the field.
