After getting your dog licensed, the basic dog supplies you'll need are products (water and food bowls, food, treats), security supplies (a collar, leash, etc.) and grooming supplies (shampoo, hair brush, toothpaste and toothbrush). Other additional supplies that are just as necessary, but sometimes overlooked, are toys and dog bones. If you plan on flying with your dog, purchase or rent an airline-approved crate. Buying a few extra commodities to keep your dog happy will benefit you and your dog's life, as well as your home's atmosphere.
