Symptoms of pancreatic cancer often don't begin to reveal themselves until the disease is in the advanced stages. Symptoms include:
• Abdominal pain
• Blood clots
• Depression
• Fatigue
• Jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes)
• Loss of appetite.
If you have these symptoms, contact your doctor as soon as possible so that she can screen for pancreatic cancer, or other illnesses associated with these symptoms. Risk factors for the disease include smoking, long-standing diabetes and chronic pancreatitis.
