Often, cervical cancer presents no symptoms until the advanced stages. Symptoms include:

    • Back pain

    • Fatigue

    • No appetite

    • Pain during sex

    • Pale, watery or possibly bloody vaginal discharge which may have a bad odor

    • Unexpected vaginal bleeding between periods, after intercourse or after menopause

    • Urine leakage.
Because cervical cancer does not have many tell-tale symptoms, women should undergo frequent pap smears. The procedure is designed to detect cancer growth at any stage. Talk to your doctor about how frequently you should get tested.
