  • And don't forget that you can join Amazon Mom and save an additional 15% off of certain baby items, like diapers. This has been a huge saving point for us. But they recently stopped letting me use my 2-day Prime shipping on S&S, so I'm a little bummed about that. I would stop using S&S, but Amazon seems to be the only place I can find large enough diapers for my older son (he's a really big kid for his age - no really).

  • Good point, Becky. I do wonder, though, with both Amazon Mom and Amazon Student what's going to happen when everyone comes to the end of their free Prime trials. Will folks be allowed to sign up again? Will that just be the end of it? I'm sure Amazon is hoping people will become dependent and then willing to pay for it, but I'm curious to see how it breaks out.

  • Mir, My Amazon Mom account expired a few months ago and I cancelled it. You comment made me wonder as well so I just tried to re-join and was successful. But since I don't need diapers or wipes I hope I'll be able to somehow keep it going through Christmas because having Prime shipping then is wonderful.

  • Thanks for letting me know, Lynn! That's interesting. Good to know folks can rejoin!

  • Mir, I wrote too soon. I just placed my first Amazon order after re-joining Amazon Mom. I didn't get the Prime shipping. So I must have simply re-instated my previous membership. But the email message I received upon re-joining was the same as when I first joined and not a Welcome Back message. I didn't realize I didn't have Prime shipping until I made the purchase.

I wonder if I should just cancel my membership again. Although I have a friend who is expecting in November so maybe I could arrange some purchases to my advantage. Any thoughts?
