What equipment do I need to enjoy new DVD technologies including 3D Blu-ray™?
In order to enjoy new DVD technologies, you may need to upgrade your television. High definition television (HDTV) and the newer 3DTV both require a television which can display images in these resolutions, though 3DTVs can play both. Blu-ray™ is among the most sophisticated video technologies for watching movies and requires some additional equipment. Along with a new TV, you may require a Blu-ray player, and to connect the two, you'll need an High-Definition Multimedia Interface® (HDMI) cord. For 3D Blu-rays, you may need special Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) glasses and a 3D compatible Blu-ray player.
