The recharge time for your electric car will vary by model and charger voltage. Your electric car might come with a 110 or 120-volt cord that plugs into a common electrical outlet, which is useful when you want to top off your battery. To fully recharge, you need to plug your car into 110 or 120-volt outlet or a 240-volt charging dock. Recharging with a 110 or 120-volt outlet can take 20 hours or more. You can buy a 240-volt charger, which can charge your car in less than half the time, but these can be expensive.
